Womb was a smooth transition from my earlier style of paintings. It represents a world of comfort that we are wrapped in. We are taught to be scared of the darkness (our inner feelings) by the lesser mortals. When, in fact, I don’t think there is a fixed self.
To be able to search for your darkness and dissolve in it—that’s true relaxation. It makes the content for peace.
Unfortunately, though, these are momentary and we join the lesser mortals into thinking we know it all.
