We are all primal beings. We have motivations and impulses. They are hopeless and we don’t determine them. We receive them. We fall in love with things, ideas, people and we can’t help ourselves.
We are bloodthirsty creatures. And concurrently tender creatures with the highest ideals, the fondest aspirations and the widest appetite for love. And, I think regardless of all the evidence of all the control we manifest, we simply cannot help falling in love—not just with each other but with principles, ideals and a dream of virtue. This is our primal instinct.
